DEVIL HUNTER HUMAN PROGRESSION – TRAINEE TO HYBRID

Press N and select Headquarters to begin your entire human progression path. Every new character must complete the HQ tutorial. This tutorial introduces weapon buying, stat point management, skill access, and mission flow. This step unlocks the entire progression ecosystem, so skipping it slows every part of your development.

DEVIL HUNTER HUMAN PROGRESSION – TRAINEE TO HYBRID

Choosing Your First Weapon

Five weapon styles define your early combat identity: Katana, Axe, Gun, Knife, and Fists. Fists and Knife dominate early-game performance because their attack chains flow faster, lock enemies into extended combos, and apply consistent pressure in both PvE and PvP. These two weapons allow new players to clear missions faster and reduce incoming damage by preventing enemy counterplay.

Selecting Your First Division

Choose Division 5 immediately after the tutorial. This division gives you direct access to elevators and the Black Market, which becomes your primary crafting and upgrade hub. Division 6 should be your second focus because its quests offer the fastest early stars for ranking up.

Ranking Up Efficiently

Progression revolves around star accumulation and rank promotions. Stars are earned by completing missions, and once five stars are filled, you receive a promotion mission that increases your rank and grants stat points.

Start your grind on Cleanup Duty. This mission gives the highest money return and steady stat growth. Move to Hold the Line once your damage stabilizes. Use Aftermath Detail when you want uninterrupted solo farming because this mission cannot be invaded by other players.

Each mission also drops loot boxes, which contain accessories and item modifiers that quietly raise your survivability and damage.

Stat Point Allocation and Weapon Proficiency

Sanity increases devil contract power. Technique upgrades skill effectiveness. Resistance governs posture and stagger control. Speed dictates movement and attack recovery. Health boosts survivability. Strength increases M1 damage output.

Every weapon used increases its own proficiency bar, unlocking better damage scaling and access to higher skill trees. Skill trees unlock based on weapon proficiency rather than raw stat investment, making weapon consistency more important than over-stacking stats.

Unlocking Your First Devil Contract

Reaching Junior Hunter or First Class Hunter opens contract access and code redemption. This is your first major power spike. Use your codes immediately to shorten your grind.

Best Contracts to Acquire First

Mantis Devil – Top Tier Starter Contract
Defeat Mantis while taking less than 10 percent damage and dealing at least 70 percent of total damage to unlock this contract. Mantis delivers ground slam control that chains easily into combos and dominates both solo and group fights.

Future Devil – Counter Specialist Contract
Located on Floor Zero of HQ. Purchase 30 Eyes from the Black Market, then complete the rhythm-based challenge and score at least 1,800. This contract grants powerful counters and unlocks an auto-dodge passive after consistent successful counters.

Curse Devil – Endgame Burst Contract
Kill ten Common Devils, five Uncommon Devils, one Rare Devil, five players, and win one World Event without dying. Completing this grants a high-damage multi-stage execution contract that defines late-game burst builds.

Ghost Devil – Raid Drop Contract
Dropped with a 10 percent chance in the Katana Raid, Level 3. This contract introduces slam pressure, execution mechanics, and later M2 fear-based punish tools.

Snake Devil – Yakuza Exclusive Contract
Join Yakuza, complete the Snake Trial and its quest chain to unlock a devour-and-convert contract that turns enemies into allied fighters.

Soloing Devil Raids for Fast Levels

Katana Raid
Levels 1–2 involve clearing NPC waves. Level 3 contains Ghost Devil, which can drop its contract. The final stage is Katana Man. Stand in the safe corner spot when low to avoid his attacks and finish him with sustained M1 pressure.

Eternity Raid
Collect keys from NPC-filled rooms, open the safe, flee from the monster, and enter the mouth portal. Attack the Eternity core when it opens to end the raid. Eternity cannot instantly kill you, making this raid ideal for safe leveling.

Zombie Raid
Clear all zombies to stun the Zombie Devil. Drop the anchor to remove a full health bar, then repeat the cycle of clearing zombies to re-stun and finish the boss.

Raids give massive experience, rare drops, and fast rank progression, making them the core of mid-to-late game leveling.

Crafting High-Performance Weapons

Use HQ crafting to build only high-impact weapons. Prioritize Koochi Katana, Kasaka Fangs, Devil Punisher, Scissor Blade, Razor Fang, and AK-47 for gun builds. The AK-47 offers extreme value for its cost and clears missions rapidly. Always aim for flawless and bloodless mission clears to earn large money bonuses.

Becoming a Hybrid – Katana Man Path

Humans can unlock hybrid forms. The Katana Man Hybrid requires high rank and strong stats. Find an active Katana Man Raid, clear the dungeon floors, defeat Ghost Devil, then defeat Katana Man. Consuming his devil flesh grants hybrid transformation abilities that activate under pressure, giving you dash, counter, and slam skills that redefine combat dominance.

This transformation acts as your emergency power layer, enabling survival, burst damage, and full fight control in high-tier content.
