Whitebeard is not just another late-game DPS unit. He is one of the most mechanically stacked One Piece units ever released in Anime Vanguards, and when you evolve him and roll Monarch, he becomes a boss-melting, wave-locking machine built specifically for long survival content.
This guide walks through unlocking him, evolving him, and understanding exactly why he is so dangerous in end-game modes.
Whitebeard is obtained from the World Destroyer Game Mode.
Enter the World Destroyer portal near the Summit area.
Inside the mode, you are given a preset team and must survive as long as possible.
Every 20 waves, there is a chance for Whitebeard himself to spawn as a boss.
Once Whitebeard spawns and is defeated, he is instantly added to your inventory. You do not need to finish the run. You can leave immediately and keep him.
How to Get His Evolution Items
Whitebeard requires Shake Fruits to evolve.
These are purchased from the World Destroyer Shop.
You need six Shake Fruits, and each one costs 100 event coins, making the total requirement 600 coins.
Coins are earned by surviving waves, spawning Club for bonus coins, and long survival runs.
How to Evolve Whitebeard
After collecting Shake Fruits, you must also complete his takedown and essence requirements.
Once all materials are gathered, evolve him into World Destroyer (Old) from the upgrade menu.
This form unlocks his full ability kit and passives.
Whitebeard’s Core Strength
Whitebeard is designed as a control-DPS hybrid that dominates long matches.
He stuns on hit, strips overshields, applies Wanted, slows enemies massively, and punishes bosses and elite enemies through layered debuffs.
He also gains massive damage boosts when afflicted by debuffs and ignores enemy damage reduction under certain conditions, making him extremely hard to counter.
Major Passives and Effects
Attacks stun enemies for 2 seconds.
Breaks overshields and applies Wanted.
Slows Wanted enemies by 50% for 30 seconds.
Immune to status effects.
If affected by a debuff, his damage and range double while ignoring enemy damage reduction.
Deals bonus damage to solidified enemies and reapplies Wanted.
When an allied unit is sold nearby, he releases an AoE shockwave dealing massive damage.
Whitebeard becomes full AoE as he upgrades and finishes at extremely high DPS for a true AoE unit.
His final ability releases a global nuke that deals 1,000% of his damage, repulses all enemies, and can instantly wipe boss waves in long content.
This single ability alone makes him one of the strongest emergency clears in infinite and anniversary stages.
Where Whitebeard Shines
He is not meant for short 10–15 wave farming maps.
Whitebeard dominates:
• Infinite modes
• Anniversary stages
• Boss rush content
• High-HP scaling content
• End-game survival modes
The longer the match runs, the stronger he becomes.
