The Blade of Glorp is a late-game fishing rod tied directly to Roslit Bay’s alien-themed questline. It is one of the most powerful progress-manipulating rods in Fisch, built around high-risk, high-reward laser mechanics triggered by Glorp’s UFO companion. Because of its unstable passive and demanding playstyle, it is intended for experienced players who already understand advanced control and progress optimization.
Before you can earn the rod, you must complete a specific chain of quests for Glorp, who appears only in Roslit Bay. These quests introduce the Gleebous species, teach you how to interact with Glorp’s relic items, and eventually reward you with the Blade itself.
How to Unlock Roslit Bay
Roslit Bay is part of Fisch’s progression system. If you’re still early in the game, continue completing earlier zone requirements until the Bay becomes accessible. Once unlocked, head straight to the shoreline NPC named Glorp. He’s the only one who can give you the Blade of Glorp questline.
How to Start the Blade of Glorp Questline
Speak to Glorp in Roslit Bay. He immediately offers a set of quests that revolve around Gleebous fish, relic enchantment, and interacting with alien-themed mechanics. Unlike normal rod unlocks that require fishing or grinding, Glorp’s quests mix tasks across selling, enchanting, and achieving perfect catches.
You must complete all quests in the chain to receive the Blade of Glorp.
Required Quests to Obtain the Blade of Glorp
Below is the complete list of tasks Glorp gives and what each one requires. Completing the entire list awards the Blade of Glorp.
Enchanted Gleebs
Glorp will ask you to prove your understanding of Gleebous and relic enchantment.
• Catch Gleebous
• Enchant 10 relics using the Blade of Glorp (the quest line gives temporary access for quest counting)
Reward: The Glorply title
This early quest familiarizes you with relic handling and Gleebous spawning patterns.
Gleeb Stocks
Glorp wants evidence that you can properly collect and trade Gleebous.
• Sell 150 Gleebous fish
Reward: UFO of Glorp Bobber
Selling instead of catching forces consistent Gleebous farming, preparing you for the rod’s passive synergy.
Perfect Destruction
This is the most demanding part of the chain, and also the final quest before unlocking the Blade of Glorp.
• Achieve 250 perfect catches with the Blade of Glorp
This quest tracks only perfect catches, so normal or good catches do not progress the requirement.
Reward:
• Increased laser strike chance
• +10% Gleebous rate
• More warning pulses
These upgrades permanently boost the Blade of Glorp’s performance.
Once this quest is complete, Glorp awards you the Golden Blade of Glorp Skin as the grand reward—but the rod itself becomes unlocked once the questline completes.
How to Actually Obtain the Blade of Glorp
When all quests in the Roslit Bay Glorp questline are completed, Glorp gives you the Blade of Glorp directly. You cannot buy it, craft it, or drop it from anywhere else. It is exclusively a quest reward.
Tips to Complete the Questline Faster
Farm Gleebous Efficiently
The rod’s passive has a strong Gleebous synergy. Even before obtaining it, focus on areas where Gleebous spawn consistently and use enchants that boost rare fish or controlled minigames.
Prepare for Perfect Catch Requirements
Two hundred fifty perfect catches is a significant task. It is worth practicing bar stabilization, timing pulses, and learning how to compensate for sudden control drops from the rod’s laser mechanic.
Enchant Relics in Advance
For the relic enchantment segment, gather relics early so you can enchant them in bulk once the quest appears. This prevents downtime during the storyline.
Monitor Laser Timing
Once the rod is in your hands, learn to predict the two warning pulses before each laser strike. Good reaction timing allows you to avoid progress loss and capitalize on the progress spike when the fish remains inside the bar.
